Roadway Express, Inc. has opened a new service terminal in
Puebla
. This new
service center is one of 19 Roadway facilities serving the Mexican
market.
Nora Arroyo,
Puebla
terminal
manager, stated that the new facility is large, modern and capable
of satisfying the growing demands of the marketplace. It will also
allow Roadway to improve services that were previously provided.
“Our customers already know the convenience and reliability of
working with a single carrier for door-to-door service. They will
continue to have a competitive advantage.”
Roadway has been serving the
Puebla
market for
more than 10 years. The city is 75 miles south of
Mexico City
and mainly
ships automotive parts, textiles and electronics. The growth of
Roadway’s service in the surrounding areas motivated the opening
of this new base of operations, which will enhance service to
local and regional businesses in
Puebla
, including
the cities of
Tlaxcala
,
Veracruz
, Tehuacán,
Teziutlán,
Cholula
and San Martín
Texmelucan. Bob Carr, vice president of international for Roadway,
states, “Our Puebla terminal will provide enhanced customer
service and allow us to extend our existing capabilities to
increased market coverage with quicker response time.”
