More Changes

On Oct. 30, 2000, amendments to three decrees important to the export community were published in the Mexican Federal Gazette of the Federation. In March's issue we provided the first of a two-part translation of the new decree, as provided by Lex Corps Abogados, a Mexican law firm with offices in Ciudad Juárez, Reynosa, Mexico City, Villahermosa and Sao Paulo, Brazil.

What follows is the second part of the translation.

ARTICLE 9. When due to special conditions, the goods subject matter of the in-bond manufacturing operation, are subject to specific export quotas, the Ministry will approve the programs in accordance with the assignment policies of the available volumes. The assignment of export quotas will be done by the federal offices of the Ministry with the previous authorization of the competent administrative unit.
