Mexico’s industrial belly one can find automobiles
assembled, computers designed and manufactured and white goods
such as refrigerators and washer/dryers assembled.
One can also find a
thriving wood furniture sector, Tier 2 and Tier 3 automobile
suppliers, plastic molders and chemical companies. Essentially
anything that can be manufactured can be manufactured here.
With
Guadalajara
and
Me
xico City
as anchors, investors here find
themselves close to millions of consumers, both domestic and
international.
Durango
The main economic
motor of the state has been the export-oriented manufacturing
industry. Currently, more than half the manufacturing
employments in the state are located within the exporting
branches and in the maquila industry, with textiles and apparel
generating 40 percent of the total industrial employment in the
state.
Durango
historically relied on the primary transformation of the
abundant natural resources of the state, especially those
related to the agricultural, forestry and mining sectors.
