is an industrial park not an industrial park?

, the government regulates the
use of the label “industrial park” to ensure would-be
tenants know what they are getting into. Before a collection of
industrial buildings can be called an industrial park, it must
meet certain minimum requirements.
Another way would-be
tenants can ensure quality is to look for the AMPIP label. AMPIP
is an acronym for the
Me
xican Association of Business and
Industrial Parks. Headquartered in
Me
xico City
, the organization’s
membership’s roster includes the nation’s most advanced
industrial parks rivaling those found in other industrialized
countries.
AMPIP was founded in
1986 with the mission of promoting
Me
xico
as a prime destination for
foreign industrial plants. Since that time membership has
steadily grown, and now includes more than 130 advanced
industrial park sites located in more than 40 cities.
AMPIP’s member parks
adhere to the most rigid standards in construction and
