A new industrial park in the
Toluca
Valley
in the State of
Me
xico
should provide options for companies looking to capitalize on
the region’s substantial industrial base.
Parque Inn, scheduled
to open in February 2003, is a 14-hectare park built and
operated by Corporativo Tembo five minutes from the
Toluca
International
Airport
. Sales are being handled by Novaland Bienes Raíces in
Toluca
.
Novaland’s Guillermo
Moreno says there are signs of renewed interest in the region
from foreign investors. And while the park may be small, he
says, there aren’t many other options in the area, which he
describes as full.
“It may not be the
best time to be opening an industrial park, but the
Toluca
area is growing,” he says. “There are companies now
expanding or looking in the
Toluca
area. The
Toluca
Valley
is home to some very important factories.”
Among the major
companies in
Toluca
are
Me
rcedes Benz, BMW, General Motors, DaimlerChrysler, Nissan,
Bosch, Nestle, Vitro, Eaton, Bayer, Pfizer, Hoechst, DuPont and
others.
The park is
state-of-the-art with plentiful fiber optics, natural gas and
electric power available. Twenty-four security is provided and
all streets are lighted. Separate water and sewer systems are
available.
