Some Pointers

Is your search for the right employee following the traditional employee search model?

You know how that works.  A job opening occurs within your organization.  This usually results when an employee resigns, is terminated or dies.  It can also result from expansion of the business or the creation of a new position within the company.  Faced with having to find a new employee it’s , “Now what?’ If you are like so many others your immediate reaction is to reach for the phone and call human resources.  You might decide to run a creative ad.  Then again you might just depend on the old standbys – acquaintances, friends and family.   The traditional model has even ensconced itself in cyberspace in the form of job boards on such sites as BrilliantPeople.com or even Monster.com.  On occasion you might even contact a recruiting agency asking them to send resumes.

What happens next can be ugly.  An incredible number of unsolicited phone calls from inquiring prospects and recruiters rain down on your day.  In addition.
