Dear Friends:

            Not long ago I took office as mayor of Ciudad Obregon.  It has been a wonderful experience.  Everyday we face new challenges but also meet new opportunities.  We are a young and vibrant community that deals with tasks without hesitation. 

            Coming from a business background allows me to easily interact with the economic sectors and fully support their initiatives.  Maquilas are not the exception. Fifteen years ago we received our first maquila plant.  It is now the largest single employer in our state of Sonora.  All that have come have grown and said that Obregon is a very well kept secret; we want to share this with you. 

            We have multiple assets, our most important one: our people; responsible, non-migrant, efficient and skilled men and women you will not find anywhere else.  This guarantees stability and long-term…
