  What's it really like?

It is often said that the most important person in a maquila isn’t the plant manager, it’s whoever is running the human resources department.

The HR director plays a critical role in recruiting staff and keeping workers happy and productive once they are on board. Twin Plant News recently posed a series of questions to Adela Maynes, a human resources executive with the Harbour Group in Ciudad Juárez. A portion of that is reproduced here.
