        A group of Ciudad Juárez dentists specifically studied maquila workers and found that more than 60 percent had serious dental problems. One experimental primary care clinic in Ciudad Chihuahua was sending 50 percent of the workers who came for primary health care service to see a dentist to clear up their dental problems so that an accurate health diagnosis could be made.

        Improving oral health in your workforce can save money. Most serious oral disease can be prevented. These preventative measures can cost relatively little, certainly much less than is lost to worker inefficiencies and absenteeism.
