The Tijuana-San Diego
region is part of the Pacific Rim and its location makes it a
unique place — a partnership that joins two different worlds to
facilitate growth and economic prosperity for both.
Tijuana’s proximity to San Diego and
California facilitates access, not just physical as in easy
transportation access, international airports, large scale
capacity ports, major freeways and highway access; but access,
in a real time sense. Today, changes in demand need to be
reflected in the manufacturing process immediately.
As Mexico’s expanding free trade agreements result in economic
integration and technological trends that have made this region
a hub for high tech activity combine with the region’s natural
attributes that make it an attractive place to live, work and
play, the Tijuana-San Diego region becomes increasingly
attractive to industry. Especially industries that need to adapt
quickly to market conditions or to industries whose product
turnover time is sensitive to consumer demand or new technology,
whether they serve the U.S. and Canadian markets or are looking
to enter Latin America markets...
