Does it Again!

For the second time
in three years, Constructora Lintel, a design and build company
based in Ciudad Juárez, is the recipient of an important
international award bestowed by the United States Tilt-Up
Concrete Association. The award recognizes Lintel’s
achievements in the use and applications of reinforced concrete
for the construction of industrial facilities.
The TCA was founded in 1986 to improve the quality and
acceptance of tilt-up construction, a construction method in
which concrete wall panels are cast on-site and tilted into
place.
The TCA announced in early January the winners of its
annual Achievement Awards Program, established to honor projects
that use tilt-up concrete to introduce new building types,
advance industry technology or provide a unique solution to a
building problem.
A panel of five individuals, experienced in tilt-up
construction, judged the competition, which included
participants of construction firms from the
United
States
and other
countries. Submittals were judged on aesthetic expression,
schedule, size, innovation, finishes and special conditions.
