Chamber Gets The Word

Mexico President Vicente Fox told a recent gathering of the American Chamber of Commerce in Mexico that he believes his country is the best investment in the world.

"I would go so far as to say that Mexico today is undoubtedly the best investment, the best investment yield in the world," Fox said.

Fox said that together the chamber and the administration must work to make Mexico a place of opportunity for investment, because that is the way to job creation. He estimates Mexico needs to generate 1.3 million jobs a year to provide for its growing young population trying to enter the workforce.

"We have defined our government task as facilitation, guaranteeing your success, posing no obstacles, because we well know that the jobs, economic development, growth, wealth generation are made by you, each one of you who have invested in our country," he said.
