Air Cargo Expands

     Calling it a fulcrum that will help create growth on both sides of the border, El Paso Aviation Director Pat Abeln said his city’s recently expanded air cargo operations give El Paso the best air cargo facilities on the border.

      El Paso recently completed work on a 150,000 square foot building for its air cargo operations, doubling the airport’s cargo capacity. The project also gives El Paso 34 acres of aircraft parking.

      The project, part of an overall $60 million project that included expansions for both commercial and cargo operations, was completed in August and gives El Paso the largest air cargo facility on the U.S.-Mexico border. It also now has the most modern commercial...
