Attracting Industry

     The ambitious and visionary programs of Mexico ’s President Vicente Fox, Plan Puebla-Panama and Marcha Hacia el Sur, are among his administration’s key initiatives to attract direct investment to south-southeast Mexico .

      Federal and state incentives, assistance from the Inter-American Development Bank and other international financing sources, combined with the country’s economic and political stability, laws to protect investment and intellectual property, NAFTA and other FTAs that provide preferential access to more than 860 million consumers in 31 countries, leverage south-southeast Mexico ’s competitive advantages.
