Modernizing
the facility’s functionality and upgrading security is a part of
Menlo Worldwide Forwarding’s C-TPAT compliance plan. This plan
included increasing the warehouse space and installing additional
warehouse racks, which provided more cubic feet of storage space.
The facility opened two years ago as part of the strategic
expansion of the company’s operations to include services for
Mexico
and the NAFTA trade. Menlo
Worldwide Forwarding is one of the Menlo Worldwide group of supply
chain service providers. Menlo Worldwide is a $2.7 billion
subsidiary of CNF Inc.

Otay Mesa Logistics Complex, which is located just south of

offered at the newly renovated Otay Mesa facility include
U.S./Mexico customs brokerage services, ocean services, cross
border transportation, intra-Mexico door-to-door pickup and
delivery, inventory replenishment and fulfillment capabilities,
expedited transportation into and out of
Mexico
, multiple carrier management and
air freight services. Through Menlo Worldwide Trade Services,
which has customs brokerage offices in more than 70 locations
throughout
North America
and along the U.S./Canada and
U.S./Mexico borders, it will also offer customized trade
solutions. These solutions include origin-to-destination shipment
visibility on the web for consignments routed via any forwarder or
carrier, export/import compliance program management, tariff
management, consulting and compliance training programs.
